Funeral arrangements are scheduled as followed: Friday, November 3, 2017, lie-in-state from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. at Rucker Memorial Chapel and visitation with family to follow from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 with viewing from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon and funeral services immediately following at 12 noon at Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, TN. James E. McAdams, Jr., age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017. James is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Vaughter of Murfreesboro, TN; father, James McAdams, Sr. of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson, Darius Coffey of Murfreesboro, TN; his extended family Tywanta Martin, Vincent Gray of Nashville, TN and grandchildren Shelby Gray of Knoxville, TN, Cameron and Danielle Turner of Murfreesboro, TN and other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state at Rucker Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 12 to 6pm. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church 738 E. Christopher L. Cunningham, age 24, parted this life on September 15, 2017. He attended Oakland High School where he had a passion for fixing cars and working with electronics.
He is cherished by his mother, Deborah Cunningham and father, Chris Williams; sisters: Hermesha Cunningham and Jada Walker; brothers: KC “Keontis” Cunningham and Juwaun Cunningham; aunts: Marie Cunningham and Sabrina Dale; uncles: Herbert and Jessie Cunningham; grandmothers: Martha Dale and Lou Williams; grandfather, Herman Cunningham; cousins: Jomarri Walker, Davion Dale and the twins, Tay Tay and Ray Ray, Andrew and Treyvon Cunningham; childhood friend, Robert Ozborne. Chris will be forever mourned by a massive amount of family and friends.

Nathan is survived by two sons, Logan Hartsock of LaVergne, TN and Ryley Hartsock of Smyrna, TN; father, James C. Joseph was born October 18, 1961, in Murfreesboro, Tn. and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a truck driver. He is survived by his mother, Margery Frasier, Murfreesboro, Tn.; his father, Clarence Frasier Sr. (Rosalind), South Carolina; three sisters: Chana Ezell, Murfreesboro, Tn., Regina Bowen (Virgil), Murfreesboro, Tn. and Claudia Elaine Smartt, North Carolina; five Aunts: Anna Fleming, Annie Batten, Blondell Fleming, Carrie Batten, Vernie Fleming and three Uncles Herbert Fleming, Lorenzo Fleming, (Cloretha) and Wilbur Fleming. He was also blessed with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Public Viewing will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Rucker Memorial Chapel from 12-6pm. Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Rucker Memorial Chapel from 12 t0 1p.m. with services to follow at 1 p.m. with Elder Bobby Russell as the officiate. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.

James Douglas (JD) Avant, age 83, passed away on July 25, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Phyllis Avant, and his siblings, Joseph H. Avant, Laurene R. Wade, Walter M. Avant, and Archie B. Avant.
After many years of dedicated service, J.D. retired from the Singer Company in Murfreesboro, TN in 2000. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing, watching TV, and taking care of his beloved dog “Jake”.
James is survived by daughter, Kimberly Avant; sons, James (Betty) Avant; Rodney (Ethel) Avant; Byron (Shelia) Avant; Deone (Tracy) Avant; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Devoted brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Audrey Avant; sisters, Norma (Charles) Conaway and Ura Smith; devoted sister-in-law Mary Ann Avant; devoted nephew, Chris Conaway and many loving nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
