Dot Nance Verge
Dot Nance Verge was born December 18, 1917 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late William Henry Nance and Etta Battle Nance. She departed this life on Friday, November 13, 2009 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Verge, son Theodore Verge, and all of her brothers and sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four daughters, Edna M. Swader, Katherine Chesterfield, Susan Stevenson, Dorothy H. Verge all of Murfreesboro, TN; six sons, William H. (Doris) Verge, Robert F. (Deborah) Verge, Charles E. Verge, Ronnie (Sharon) Verge, Donnie Verge, Jackie (Thelma) Verge all of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by one brother-in-law, Elder Clarence (Faye) Verge of Murfreesboro, TN and two sisters-in-law Effie Verge and Irene Hughes of Springfield, Illinois; thirty-five grandchildren; fifty-seven great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; two devoted nieces Ernestine Graham and Gloria Bell of Huntsville, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Rucker Memorial Chapel. Visitation with family Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stones River Primitive Baptist Church, 2315 Joe B. Jackson Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN. Family visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with services to follow at Stones River Primitive Baptist Church. Pastor Roger Russell will be the eulogist.
